Research status and prospect of digital twin technology for civil aero-engines

Abstract

<p indent="0mm">With the rapid iterative development of new generation information technologies such as big data, the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, the digital and intelligent trend of industry is becoming increasingly obvious. As a new technology of cyber physical system, digital twin shows great potential in the transformation and upgrading of complex equipments such as aero-engines through virtual-real mapping and dynamic interaction between physical space and digital space. This paper reviews the evolution of the concept of digital twin, focusing on the key supporting technologies of platforms, data and models in the digital twin architecture for civil aero-engines, as well as the application in the stages of design, test verification, production and assembly, full life cycle operation and maintenance. The further development of digital twin technology for civil aero-engines in the future is also prospected.</p>
