Theoretical calculation of hyperfine structure constants for the metastable state and nuclear moments of Ga isotopes

Abstract

The hyperfine structure(hfs)constants for the metastable state 4s<sup>2</sup>4p <sup>2</sup>P<sub>3/2</sub> of <sup>71</sup>Ga were calculated using the GRAS- P2K package based on the multiconfiguration Dirac-Fock(MCDF)method.A good agreement of the hfs constants for the metastable state was found between calculations and experiment.Based on these calculations,the nuclear moments of <sup>71</sup>Ga were obtained.By neglecting the small field shift effect for Ga,the nuclear moments for <sup>67,69,72-79,81</sup>Ga were derived,the present results for nuclear moments were in good agreement with experimental values.
