Discrimination of trine states based on unitary transformation
Abstract
<p indent="0mm">This study investigates the discrimination of trine states based on unitary transformations. After the unitary transformation acting on the multiple trines states, the outputs are measured. Through the measurements on the outputs, the optimal discrimination of the multiple trines states can be achieved. The discrimination operators include the success operators and the correct operators. In order to evaluate the efficiency of the correct operators, the relative average correct probability is introduced, as a function of the average success probability. We completely solve the problem posed in the reference (Phys. Rev. Lett. 1991, 66: 1119), and extent the research of the discrimination of the multiple trine states.</p>
