Solar neutrino physics and a novel Jinping spectrometer method
Abstract
The study of solar neutrinos has triggered the recent studies of neutrino oscillations and astrophysical neutrinos. This paper briefly introduces the solar fusion, the evolution model, and the solar neutrino production and flavor evolution. The experimental detection of solar neutrinos is of great significance to the understanding of particle physics, nuclear physics, and astrophysics. We also introduce the Jinping Neutrino Experiment and discuss the development of a solar neutrino spectrometer technology, i.e., lithium-salt fluorescent water, which has obvious advantages for the physical research related to solar neutrino energy. Several domestic and foreign solar neutrino experiments are planned or under construction, and we expect that more discoveries will be made in solar neutrino physics research.
