Phonon-coupled single photon emitters in hexagonal boron nitride at room-temperature

Abstract

<p indent="0mm">Photons can work as flying qubits. Coupling single photons with other systems is crucial for quantum manipulation and quantum information transduction. A recent study by Lai et al. reported the<styleredit/> phonon-coupled single photon emission in hexagonal boron nitride. A transition model was developed to explain the phonon-assisted defect emission. This result provides insight into manipulating electron-phonon coupling with single photon at room temperature.</p>
