Development of large-aperture antenna subreflector pose measurement technology

Abstract

Large-aperture reflector antennas are extremely susceptible to changes in reflector surface shape and pose deviation in complex environments such as wind, thermal and gravity, decreasing the antenna efficiency. In order to meet the requirements of high sensitivity and resolution of large aperture antennas, it is an effective method to achive the electrical performance compensation through the active adjustment of the subreflector, which requires accurate measurement and evaluation of the antenna subreflector. This article reviews the widely used pose measurements and evaluation methods of the antenna subreflector, compares and summarizes the applications of some advanced large-aperture antennas globally. Finally, some crucial issues and their applicable measurement methods are proposed for the subreflector pose measurement technology of the Qitai radio telescope.
